What are the benefits of installing a sports exhaust for the MT-07 ?

The benefits are many, starting with the increase in the motorbike's performance as the new exhaust system allows gases to flow out of the engine more quickly.

The sound becomes sportier and more pleasant.

Most original exhausts weigh a lot. Installing the Roadsitalia exhaust reduces the overall weight of the bike and thus makes it more agile and practical to handle. Weight reduction of about 4kg.

The aesthetics of the bike are improved and made unique.

Thanks to the faster exhaust gas flow, there is a significant reduction in the heat emitted by the exhaust. Comfort will be noticeably improved for both rider and passenger.

Is it possible to replace only the silencer and not the entire exhaust system?

The original exhaust system consists of one piece, so it is not possible to replace just the silencer with a sports silencer. It is necessary to replace the entire exhaust system.

What is the installation time?

The average installation time is one and a half hours. We always recommend a specialised mechanic to avoid problems before and after installation.

Does the exhaust have type approval? Do I have to update the motorbike registration?

Yes, the Roadsitalia exhaust for MT-07 has a European type approval certificate. It is not necessary to register the exhaust in the motorbike registration book. Just carry the certificate that is supplied with you. The code on the certificate must match the code on the exhaust system.

What is the Db Killer? Is it removable? Are there different versions? (Standard - No-Noise - Extreme)

The Db killer consists of a perforated insert that fits inside the silencer. Its purpose is to reduce the sound of the sports exhaust and make it compliant with the law for driving on public roads.

Roadsitalia Db killers are removable and allow the rider to remove them to increase the sound of the exhaust when circulating on private roads.

The standard Db killer is always included in our kits. Customers wishing to reduce the sound even further can opt for the Noise version, which uses an internal metal mesh to reduce the sound even further.

The Db Killer Extreme, on the other hand, is a fake db killer that does not reduce the sound but prevents foreign objects from entering the silencer.

Is it necessary to remap the motorbike's ECU or install an add-on module?

No, it is not mandatory to remap the ECU or install an add-on module. The Roadsitalia exhaust can be installed and used without the need for this type of modification.

What is the catalytic converter used for? Is it compulsory to install it? Does it change performance?

All motorbikes from 2003 onwards are originally fitted with a catalytic converter.

The catalytic converter is required to circulate on the road and have both sound and emissions in order.

To be fully compliant, it is necessary to purchase the exhaust together with the optional catalytic converter.

The exhaust with catalytic converter has dual homologation (sound and emissions).

The exhaust without catalytic converter is only approved for sound.

Our catalytic converters are removable.

A sports exhaust allows exhaust fumes to flow out of the exhaust system more quickly, resulting in significantly better revs from low revs as well as an increase in power, especially at high revs.

With the aid of the catalytic converter, performance in the low-medium range is especially increased, whereas without the aid of the catalytic converter there is a slight loss of torque in the low range but greater explosiveness in the high range. The catalytic converter also reduces the sound of the sports exhaust as it filters the exhaust gases leaving the engine.

Is the exhaust compatible with Yamaha's original centre stand and cases?

Yes, our sports exhaust for the MT-07 has been tested with both the centre stand and original Yamaha cases.

What is the production lead time?

All Roadsitalia exhausts are made to order following receipt of the order and are shipped within a range of 7 to 15 working days. The estimated production/shipping time can be seen during the order process on the website.

Our trustworthy craftsmen and technicians lovingly build Roadsitalia sports exhausts every day in the factory in Leffe (BG). With great honour we confirm that these are 100% Made in Italy products.

What kind of warranty do you offer?

All Roadsitalia products are covered by a two-year warranty from the date of delivery. The warranty does not cover components subject to wear and tear such as the rock wool inside the silencer.

What is the difference between the various silencers you can choose from?

All models of silencers, having similar sizes, offer the same kind of result in terms of performance, weight, sound and heat reduction.

We recommend basing your choice on the aesthetic result you wish to achieve and the budget you wish to invest.

Introduction - YAMAHA MT-07 2014-2016

Typically referred to as a 'Naked' bike like some of its competitors, the MT-07 puts its owner immediately at ease with its upright riding position and well-angled legs, which enhance its comfort. Its twin-cylinder CP2 engine proves to be extremely bright and agile, both in the curves of mixed stretches and in the city, where low weight and precise steering radius enhance its handling.
